PHILOSOPHY


The word YOG = unity comes from the ancient Indian language "Sanskrit" .
This gave rise to the practice of Yoga, whose aim is to bring body, mind and soul into harmony through meditation. Today many people - especially in Europe and the western world - describe it as a type of sport. Yoga is about a lot more, the sportive advantage is a positive side effect.
Our Yoga is designed to help students through meditative asanas to friendship with themselves. 
The breath is our life energy and always present, if it is taken for granted and subtle, we learn to meet it with awareness. This helps us to understand why a yogic way of life is nurtured and cultivated.

... HOW YOGA CAN HELP AND HEAL US

In today's digital world, ruled by social media and consumption it is difficult for many people to be "real" because they have to constantly compare themselves to others.
This state is deprivation of liberty for our own self, generated by the mind.
The goal of a yoga practice is to calm the mind, to arrive in the present moment and thereby release from stress, worries and fears.
But not only this aspect leads to mental health , also the movement leads to physical health .
Yoga asanas are specially developed postures that contribute to the following through twists, stretches, strength building and reversing postures:

Toxin excretion (detox)

Digestive enhancement

Increased concentration

Strength of the immune system

Energy increase

Improved mobility (disappearance of pain like back pain)



Breathing techniques (pranayama) do both, physical and mental benefits at the same time.

HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga is the classical yoga style.
Positions are executed slowly and consciously and held for a long time so that the position is perceived deeply. The goal is to create balance between body and mind through effective asanas, breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation.

This yoga style is particularly suitable for beginners to understand the basics of yoga and to learn about positions and breathing exercises.


HATHA is composed of the syllables HA = sun and THA = moon. Hereby, the combination of the warm and powerful solar energy and the cool and calm moon energy, achieve balance and activate the life energy PRANA.

VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa Yoga is a lively, flowing yoga style. Asanas are carried out in flowing movements and are supplemented by the breath. A new breath, a new asana. This creates a harmonious sequence of movements, which increases the awareness of the breath for beginners and enables advanced students a deeper meditation.

In Vinyasa classes asanas (postures) can be intuitively brought together.
When practicing Vinyasa, you will stretch, build up strength and sweat.

You will receive individual advice and support in all aspects of your yoga practice.

Public classes will be held again and again. You can practice yoga with us and other people on certain days and at a certain time. The courses take place in different locations, either outdoors or indoors.

WHO WE ARE

YOGA IN THE DOLOMITES

We are Gabriel and Miriam, passionate yoga teachers from South Tyrol/Italy. 

We mainly teach Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga and were able to learn these exciting yoga styles in 2018 at the 200h training in India/Goa and dove deeply into their teaching.

The training is certified by Yoga Alliance, the world's largest Yoga association based in the USA.

 

In our classes we share our life energy and would like to ignite it in you too. Bring your body, mind and soul into harmony with us and take the time to observe yourself closely and feel present for a moment. Find your inner balance.
